Management Statement

Quality, working conditions and sustainability (among which environment) are essential aspects in the execution of our work. For this reason the policy pf these areas is an integral part of the general Eekels policy. As Eekels we have chosen to document our work methods based on our processes, whereby the Quality-Health and Safety-Sustainability aspects are included integrally. To also emphasize that delivering quality in a safe and healthy way for people and environment, now and in the future, is a task for everyone, we have named this system Kam4All. Despite that the aspects of quality, working conditions and sustainability are secured in one system, these three aspects all have their own specific goals.

Quality

As Eekels employees we are aware that we exist because our customer buy from us. That is why we deliver services, systems and products of which the quality meets the requirements and expectations of our customers and the legal and social standards. Thereby we strive for long lasting relations with our customers and suppliers. We want to achieve the requested quality by controlling our business processes and continuous improvement.

In order to guarantee quality and obtain the trust of our customers Eekels has documented her work processes in the Kam4All system which is evaluated periodically by the management and is corrected via organizational improvement actions where necessary. In the same way the suppliers are requested to provide a guarantee for systems, products and services.

Some important starting points are:

  • The customer is leading.
  • Deploying skilled and motivated personnel.
  • Do all the work correctly the first time.
  • Continuous improvement.

The quality management system and the implementation of it are certified based on NEN-EN ISO 9001. Furthermore we are certified for fusion welding metal in accordance with NEN-EN-ISO 3834-2.

Working conditions

At Eekels the care for working conditions contains: to achieve the best possible safety, the best possible health protection and to promote the well-being at work of all employees. The goal thereby is zero accidents resulting in absenteeism.

A few important basic principles are:

  • Do it safely or don't do it!
  • Prevent personal injury.
  • Prevent material and environmental damage.
  • Address each other on unsafe behavior.
  • Continuous improvement.
  • The pursuit of continuous improvement in the field of HSE.

Communication with employees is in the Dutch language. With non-native speakers communication takes place in a language they understand. In case an employee becomes involved in an accident, Eekels offers custom work (if possible).

Sustainability

Why sustainable entrepreneurship? Sustainable entrepreneurship offers perspective and stimulates innovation. Smart handling of shortage and thinking about the best possible sustainable solution is not only ‘the right thing to do’, it also offers market opportunities and it inspires. We are convinced sustainable entrepreneurship is the only way to run a company, now and in the future. To be prepared is necessary, doing nothing is not an option. In this Eekels takes her social responsibility. Eekels sees it as her duty to not only take the effects on her business performances into account when taking decisions. The effects on people and environment are included with due care in the decision-making.

We work continuously on reducing our footprint. We also want to make a positive difference in the area of Sustainability in our markets.

Together with her sister companies within TBI Eekels wants to be a defining player in the area of sustainable entrepreneurship. We want to do it, we can do it - and so we do it.

Eekels is level 3 certified on the CO2 performance ladder.
