Eekels | TBI builds new power supply for Solidus Solutions

At the end of 2018 Eekels delivered a new power supply to Solidus Solutions. Early July 2018 a fire broke out at the Oude Pekela Mill location, badly damaging part of the power supply and thus partly disrupting production. In the following weeks, Eekels contributed to the temporary restoration of the power supply.

After some months of designing and building, the new power supply (3 MCC cabinets of 12 panels each) was installed and connected shortly before Christmas. It was a challenge to execute the work within a minimum time frame as the factory had to be shut down. However, the factory could be powered up again as planned to the customer’s satisfaction.
