Eekels | TBI makes a major contribution to fishery research vessel
On 9 November 2017, Fishery Research Vessel (FRV) 7417 was launched at Damen Shipyards Galati (Romania). This fishery research vessel has been built for the Ministry of Fisheries of Angola (Southwest Africa). The technically highly advanced ship is representative of the future in fishery research regarding both sustainability and comfortability. A great deal of attention, for example, has been paid to minimizing noise and vibrations, on board as well as under water.
Eekels has made a major contribution to Baia Farta, as Fishery Research Vessel (FRV) 7417 is called. Eekels was responsible for the engineering, production, supervision and commissioning of the complete electrical installation, including switchboards, lighting installations, automation, computer networks and the propulsion control system. Eekels Romania was responsible for both the complete electrical installation and the commissioning.
