Eekels | TBI receives order for four Marpower Grid Converters

We are proud to announce that we have received the order from Wuhu Shipyard for the engineering, production and delivery of four Marpower© Grid Converters with combined bow thruster drive. These will be installed on board the 5800 dwt general cargo vessels.

We are delighted to welcome Wuhu Shipyard Co., Ltd. as a new customer and hope to lay the foundations for a long-term relationship with this order.

Wuhu is a shipyard located on the Yangtze River, about 350 kilometres east of Shanghai. Wuhu is one of the biggest shipyards in China, with an impressive track record. In the shape of these 5800 dwt ships, commissioned by Wijnne Barends, four impressive projects have been added to that record.

In addition to supplying the Marpower© Grid Converters, Eekels will also supply the air cooled shaft generators.
