Eekels | TBI rewarded with new Huisman order

Eekels Technology B.V. has, following successful completion and delivery of the crane drive systems for the 2 x 10,000 mt cranes on board Heerema’s new build SSCV “SLEIPNIR”, been awarded by Huisman with the order for drive systems on one 5,000 mt Tub mounted crane. The crane will be installed on Allseas’ platform installation/decommissioning and pipelay vessel “Pioneering Spirit”.  

The order involves the design, engineering, production and testing of the completely outfitted drive systems panels comprising the cranes frequency inverters, Bi-directional Active Front End (AFE) converters and in-house produced water cooling units. Delivery of the units at the Huisman Schiedam site is scheduled for Q3 2017.
