Eekels | TBI sponsors Solar Boat Team TU Delft
This year Eekels is one of the most enthusiastic sponsors of the TU Delft Solar Boat Team. With a solar boat on hydrofoils that the Solar Boat Team designed and built themselves, they intend to top the leader board with the highest overall ranking of the Solar Sport One competition. This year the focus is on efficiency, reliability and maneuverability. This exciting competition takes place between May and July 2018.
On 29 May, Eekels welcomed the Solar Boat team to the headquarters in Kolham. A presentation on the design of the versatile solar boat was follwed by a wide-ranging discussion about the technical improvements of both the current and next year’s design.
Eekels wishes the TU Solar Boat Team every success in achieving their objective: winning the Solar Sport One competition.
