At the end of 2019, Eekels was commissioned by Nedstack to design and manufacture two 100 kW fuel cell units to convert hydrogen into electricity. Nedstack Fuel Cell Technology is a Dutch manufacturer of proton-exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells.

After a four-month production time, Nedstack was able to deliver the first fuel cell unit to an international customer. The second one is a test and development unit for Nedstack itself.

With this great project, Eekels is making a contribution to the development of the energy transition. 

The engineering and design work of a 500 kW hydrogen fuel cell unit to be realised soon is already at an advanced stage.
