Eekels | TBI welcomes TU Delft students

On Thursday 18 October 2018, Eekels welcomed a group of over 20 students of the Society of Maritime Technology “William Froude”, the study association of Marine Engineering at TU Delft. Visiting Eekels was part of a two-day excursion to Groningen and North Germany. The purpose of the visit was to broaden the maritime students’ knowledge and to give them a clear picture of the maritime industry. These excursions also provide students with useful insights into the work practice and can be helpful with their further choice of study.

During the Eekels visit, the students talked in an interactive session with various Eekels employees, including a project leader, an engineer and a trainee. The official visit ended with a guided tour of the manufacturing hall. The varied programme succeeded in providing a good picture of Eekels and the application of electrical engineering in the shipbuilding industry.
