Eekels | TBI wins Damen order for CSOV vessels

Eekels Technology has been awarded by Damen Shipbuilding Gorinchem with the order for the electrical installations for 3 + 3 optional, Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOV’s) for customer Windcat.

 A CSOV is a vessel that remains in an offshore wind farm for an extended period of up to 30 days, providing maintenance materials and housing technicians in hotel-style accommodation.

The vessels will be equipped with hybrid battery technology and prepared for  conversion to Hydrogen as an energy source.

The order comprises the engineering, production, supervision and commissioning of the electrical installations, among which: switchboards, lighting installations, vessel automation system, and semi 24 pulse DP2 propulsion drive systems.

Construction, outfitting, installing and commissioning of the installations of the vessel will be executed at the Damen shipyard in Ha Long Vietnam.

Delivery of the first vessel to the owners is scheduled for Q1 2025.
