Chief Electrician Marine and Offshore
Function
Eekels | TBI is looking for a Chief Electrician Marine & Offshore for the Kolham location. As Chief Electrician Marine & Offshore, you will work on project locations, independently or in a team, on the assembly and conversion of various electrical installations and instrumentation of projects within the sector.
What is expected of you?
- Preparing the execution of the work, making detailed plans and making adjustments and changes to the existing documentation;
- Installation of electrical installations on ships;
- If necessary, identify sources of faults for repair, carry out maintenance work and keep track of overhaul work.
- Preparing commissioning and performing tests;
- Checking work performed against the assignment and planning;
- Instructing, guiding and training employees;
- Performing administrative and registration tasks;
- Having and maintaining customer relationships (shipyard/shipping company) and maintaining contacts with any subcontractors;
- Ensuring a safe working environment.
Environment
The business unit Marine & Offshore supplies worldwide electrical services and systems for Marine & Offshore applications. Complete installations are custom designed and produced for installations at Dutch shipyards. In addition, complete installations are shipped as a ready-made construction kit to shipyards in Romania, Vietnam, India, China and various other countries. The electrical services to the shipbuilding industry consist of: advice, system engineering and design, delivery of customer-specific systems and/or standard systems, panel building, installation work, commissioning and service and maintenance.

Experience
Do you recognize yourself in this profile?
- Completed vocational education (mbo) in electrical engineering at level 4;
- Experience in a management position, preferably within the maritime sector;
- Proactive, strong communication skills and a customer and team-oriented attitude;
- Good knowledge of Word and Excel;
- Willingness to travel;
- Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
