Function
Eekels | TBI is seeking a Marine & Offshore Engineer for its Kolham location. As a Marine & Offshore Engineer, you will perform design and engineering work for electrical installations based on a functional approach. In this role, you will report directly to the project leader or project manager.
What is expected of you?
- Carrying out drawing and engineering work for electrical installations based on a functional approach;
- Technically preparing projects, documenting them and making them ready for implementation;
- Support in making calculations and establishing work budgets;
- Supporting the aftercare of the project;
- In this position you report directly to the project leader or project manager.
Environment
The Marine & Offshore business unit provides electrical services and systems for marine and offshore applications worldwide. Complete systems are custom-designed and manufactured for installation at Dutch shipyards. In addition, complete systems are shipped as ready-to-install kits to shipyards in Romania, Vietnam, India, China, and various other countries. The electrical services provided to the shipbuilding industry include: consulting, system engineering and design, delivery of customer-specific and/or standard systems, panel building, installation work, commissioning, and service and maintenance.
Experience
Do you recognize yourself in this profile?
- Completed higher vocational education (bachelor) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
- At least 5 years of work experience in a similar position or engineering role;
- Good technical, communication and organizational skills;
- Proactive approach and good analytical skills;
- Knowledge of project management methods is a plus;
- Experience with AutoCAD and EPLAN and knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Access);
- Affinity with programming in Excel and Access (VBA / VB.net);
- Good command of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written.
