Function
Eekels | TBI is seeking an Engineer to join the Engineering department (Zaandam) for the Yachting business unit. As a Yachting Engineer, you will perform design and engineering work for electrical systems onboard a superyacht.
What is expected of you?
- Carrying out drawing and engineering work for electrical installations;
- Providing drawings for main and sub-distribution panels;
- Providing drawings for power and control cables for ship systems;
- Technically prepare projects, document them and make them ready for implementation;
- Supporting the aftercare of the project;
- In this role you will report directly to the Lead Engineer or Technical Project Manager.
Environment
The business unit Yachting is one of the largest electrical system integrators in the Dutch yacht building industry and operates at various shipyards in the top segment of the Dutch yacht industry. As a system integrator, we are present from start to finish, designing, installing, and commissioning all onboard systems (both our own and third-party). This includes everything from energy supply to yacht steering and every conceivable technological experience on board.

Experience
Do you recognize yourself in this profile?
- Completed higher professional education (hbo) in Electrical Engineering;
- Experience in drawing and designing electrical installations, preferably within the maritime sector;
- Good communication skills and cooperation are a given;
- Proactive approach and good analytical skills;
- Experience with and knowledge of EPLAN electric P8 and AutoCAD;
- Good command of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written.
