ICT Specialist

Eekels | TBI is looking for an ICT Specialist for the business unit eXperience (location Zaandam).

As an ICT Specialist, you are responsible for designing, building, and testing various IT systems. These systems are deployed on ships, yachts, and in luxury homes and hotels. You are also responsible for providing service for such systems when necessary. Strong analytical skills are important in this regard. You will also visit the ships on location several times a year. This will occur between 2 and 8 times a year.

You have a broad orientation towards IT solutions and are skilled in various areas. Our IT systems are used, among other things, for the operation of the yacht. An important additional function of our IT systems is that they are used as infrastructure for audio & video distribution, communication, and security systems.
 
What is expected of you?

• Writing functional specifications and test protocols;
• Designing, building, and testing various networks (LAN, WLAN, and WAN);
• Working with Firewall solutions and products;
• Working on virtualization solutions and hypervisors;
• Troubleshooting highly complex systems, on-site or remotely;
• Working in a structured manner as an individual, but also as part of a team;
• Report to project management and your manager, the operations manager.

The business unit Experience, based in Zaandam, operates under the brand name Marpower eXperience. Marpower eXperience supplies high-quality systems to the shipbuilding industry, including yacht building, as well as to hotels, luxury homes, and apartments. We specialize in audio & video systems, control systems, internal and external communication systems, camera and security systems, and lighting systems.

Do you recognize yourself in this profile?
 

• A bachelor or master degree in technical informatics or similar;
• At least five years of experience in ICT;
• The following qualities are considered a plus:
• CISCO (CCNA, CCNP) and/or Cybersecurity certified
• Familiar with VOIP (CISCO and Grandstream), VMWARE, NAC, CISCO ISE
• Knowledge of audio and video streaming protocols in a network environment
• Experience with scripting

• Communicative skills and collaboration come naturally to you;
• Proactive working method and strong analytical skills;
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.
