Function
Eekels | TBI is seeking an ambitious Junior Design & Proposal Engineer for the Marine & Offshore Business Unit at its Kolham location. In this role, you will be responsible for the quotation process for electrical installations and systems for ships. You will play a key role in a wide variety of projects within the dynamic maritime industry.
As a Junior Design & Proposal Engineer, you're just starting your career. You'll be part of the Design & Proposal team, which will support you in your work. This primarily involves researching the needs of the client who submitted a request. You'll gather the necessary information. Based on this information, you'll create a design, a technical description of the components, a cost calculation, and a quote. In doing so, you'll consider the system's proper functioning and sustainability. You'll learn to work with existing tools, ultimately enabling you to work independently. Once an order is confirmed, you'll ensure that all your data is transferred to the project team.
What is expected of you?
- Developing yourself as a Design & Proposal Engineer;
- Provide technical support to the sales team, which is responsible for commercial negotiations with the customer;
- Maintain contact and discuss requests with customers in order to provide the most suitable quotation;
- Be able to translate customer requirements into a design, which forms the basis for creating the technical description of the components, calculating the costs and the proposal to the customer;
- In consultation with the Design & Proposal Manager, determine the strategy to deliver on time and with the desired technical and content accuracy;
- Responsible for making reliable cost calculations;
- Maintain contacts with internal and external suppliers.

Experience
Do you recognize yourself in this profile?
- You have a higher professional education (bachelor level and knowledge);
- Experience in electrical engineering or a degree in electrical engineering is an advantage;
- Experience in the field of energy transition is an advantage;
- Experience with systems in the maritime sector is an advantage;
- Good command of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written.
