Function

Eekels | TBI is looking for a Lead Engineer Marine & Offshore for the Kolham location. As Lead Engineer Marine & Offshore you will lead engineers and, depending on the size of the projects, you will be responsible for one or more (international) projects.

What is expected of you?

  • Leading engineers and, depending on the size of the projects, responsible for one or more (international) projects;
  • Strong technical focus and you use your “cost driven” attitude to achieve project objectives;
  • Drawing up schedules and task-oriented management of the engineers in the project team;
  • Providing input for project forecasts and being able to substantiate this with sound evidence to the project manager and management;
  • Monitoring the project planning and ensuring clear communication with the project team and our clients;
  • Working according to procedures and guidelines for project work, takes initiatives that lead to optimization of the (design) processes;
  • (Short-term) stays abroad for projects may be part of the position.


Environment

The Marine & Offshore business unit provides electrical services and systems for Marine & Offshore applications worldwide. Complete installations are designed in line with the customer’s requirements and produced for installations at Dutch shipyards. Complete installations are also sent as ready-made construction kits to the shipyards in Romania, Vietnam, India, China and various other countries. The electrical services provided to the ship construction industry consist of: consultancy, system engineering and design, delivery of customer-specific systems and/or standard systems, panel construction, installation work, commissioning and service and maintenance.

Experience

Do you recognize yourself in this profile?

  • A completed higher vocational education (bachelor) in Electrical Engineering;
  • Knowledge of project management methods is an advantage;
  • Good knowledge of MS Project and MS Office;
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as Lead Engineer in the industry.
