Operations Manager eXperience

Eekels | TBI is looking for an Operations Manager for the business unit eXperience. As Operations Manager, you are responsible for technical personnel, processes, and products used and deployed by projects in sectors including superyacht construction, commercial vessels, hotels, luxury homes, and apartments. You will be jointly responsible for achieving optimal results in the execution of a variety of projects, varying in size, time, and complexity. You report directly to the Business Unit Manager for this role. With your knowledge and experience, you are a key player in the eXperience business unit team.

What is expected of you?

• Managing the technical staff of the business unit;
• Ensuring a qualitative and quantitative workforce, based on a sustainable relationship with the staff;
• Member of the management team of the business unit;
• Drafting the operational plan and providing input to the business unit's strategic multi-year plan;
• Defining objectives, implementing and evaluating (the consequences of) new policy and, if necessary, adjusting and renewing;
• Ensuring that staff work in accordance with the processes of Eekels and the business unit;
• Organize activities/conditions in such a way that they are carried out safely, with the goal of 0 accidents resulting in absenteeism;
• Ensuring, in collaboration with the Project Managers, the daily progress and realization of projects within the business unit;
• Monitoring and developing the knowledge and skill level of employees within the business unit, so that activities are performed consistently in accordance with strategic objectives and required regulations and certifications;
• Monitoring performance, focusing on collaboration within and outside the business unit and initiating measures if necessary;
• Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, thereby creating a solid foundation for a (long-term) collaboration.

The Experience business unit, based in Zaandam, operates under the brand name Marpower eXperience. Marpower eXperience supplies high-quality systems to the shipbuilding industry, including yacht building, commercial vessels, hotels, luxury homes, and apartments. We specialize in audio & video systems, control systems, internal and external communication systems, camera and security systems, and lighting systems.

Do you recognize yourself in this profile?

• Higher professional education (HBO) working and thinking level, preferably in electrical engineering;
• At least 10 years of relevant work experience, of which at least 5 years in a senior (project) management position;
• Working systematically and result-oriented;
• Resilient and people-oriented;
• Good communication and organizational skills;
• A good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.
