Project Leader Service Yachting

Eekels | TBI is seeking a Service Project Manager for its Zaandam location. As a Service Project Manager, you will lead project teams and be responsible for multiple (international) service and refit projects in the yacht building industry, as well as expanding our client portfolio. As a Service Project Manager, you will be the face of the Service department within the Yachting business unit and actively contribute to the continued growth of our organization. You will open new doors and maintain long-term relationships with shipyards, crews, and yacht owner representatives.

What is expected of you?

• Act as the first point of contact for the customer;
• Maintain an overview of all current accounts and prospects;
• Writing quotations and making periodic customer evaluations and sales analyses;
• Drawing up working estimates and target budgets for the project team;
• Making project forecasts and substantiating these to management;
• Monitoring the scope and project planning, with clear communication to clients;
• Close cooperation with other departments within Eekels;
• Working according to procedures and guidelines for project-based work, and taking initiatives to optimize the (primary) processes and the use of the (operational) system;
• Short-term stays abroad for project-related work are part of the position.

The business unit Yachting is one of the largest electrical system integrators in the Dutch yacht building industry and operates at various shipyards in the top segment of the Dutch yacht industry. As a system integrator, we are present from start to finish, designing, installing, and commissioning all onboard systems (both our own and third-party). This includes everything from energy supply to yacht steering and every conceivable technological experience on board.

The Service, Refit, and Maintenance department of the Yachting business unit consists of employees in the role as project managers, (service) technicians, and engineers. Our service department performs service and maintenance work on both our own and third-party systems. We also carry out refit projects. 

Do you recognize yourself in this profile?

• Bachelor level and knowledge of electrical engineering;
• Several years of relevant experience, preferably in shipbuilding;
• Being able to work well in a team and having (commercially oriented) communication skills;
• Goal-oriented team player with a helicopter view;
• A good command of the Dutch and English language.
