Function

Eekels | TBI is looking for a Sales Manager for the business unit Yachting. We are looking for a Sales Manager with not only strong commercial skills but also (electrical) technical expertise. You will help define the commercial strategy and implement it into concrete actions to secure new projects from existing and new clients. You will be involved from the initial client contact through to the handover to the project team. You will not only maintain long-term relationships with shipyards but also open new doors with shipyards, crews, and yacht owners' representatives.

What is expected of you?

  • To be the point of contact for our current and new customers regarding new build and refit projects in yacht building;
  • Maintain contact with customers and discuss requests with them to provide the most suitable offer, whereby you manage this process;
  • Able to translate customer requirements into a preliminary design together with other departments (engineering, project management, purchasing, service and calculation) as well as the eXperience and Systems business units, which forms the basis for you to implement and compile the technical specification, a budget and a commercial proposal to the customer;
  • Promoting commercial growth;
  • Working based on objectives and focusing on achieving results;
  • Developing presentations, customer analyses, and strategic sales plans;
  • Identifying and developing commercial opportunities with new and existing clients;
  • Representing the Yachting Business Unit at trade fairs and networking events;
  • After acquiring the order, you ensure the successful transfer of the sales file to the project team;
  • Initiating improvement proposals (process improvement, standard calculations, calculation tools) that will strengthen Eekels' competitive position.


Environment

The business unit Yachting is one of the largest electrical system integrators in the Dutch yacht building industry, operating in the top segment of the Dutch yacht industry. As a system integrator, we are present from start to finish, installing and connecting our custom-designed systems. This includes everything from energy supply to yacht steering, and every conceivable technological experience on board.

You'll be working on the most challenging and experience-driven projects, where sustainability is becoming increasingly important. For this reason, yacht building is a sector within shipbuilding that leads the way in many areas of (electrical) technology.

Experience

Do you recognize yourself in this profile?

  • Minimum bachelor/master level with an electrical engineering background;
  • Several years of experience with installation technology in the maritime industry, yacht building is an advantage;
  • You are systematic, assertive and you have strong analytical skills;
  • You are flexible, stress-resistant and customer and results-oriented;
  • You work independently and you have (commercially oriented) communication skills;
  • Experience developing sales plans and leading quotation processes;
  • Possession of a category B driver's license;
  • You have a good command of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written.
