Service Engineer Yachting

Eekels | TBI is looking for an (international) Service Engineer for the business unit Yachting based in Zaandam. As an (international) Service Engineer you will be part of the service team. You will be responsible for the revision and repair of electrical installations on board yachts and (passenger) ships.

What is expected of you?

• Responsibility for the revision and repair of electrical installations on board yachts and (passenger) ships;
• Preparing project activities related to documentation, detailed planning and drawings;
• Developing technical specifications or changes (if necessary) or discussing these with the work planner and/or project managers;
• Writing reports after each visit, for the customer and for internal purposes;
• Willingness to travel abroad regularly (both within and outside Europe).

The Business Unit Yachting is one of the largest electrotechnical system integrators within the Dutch yacht building industry and is active at various shipyards such as Royal van Lent, Royal De Vries Scheepsbouw and Royal Hakvoort. As a system integrator, we are present from start to finish to install and connect the self-designed systems. This for the benefit of the energy supply to the yacht control and all conceivable technological experiences on board. Our service department carries out service and maintenance work on our own systems as well as on third-party systems. In addition, we carry out Refit projects.

Do you recognize yourself in this profile?

• Secondary school education level 4 (mbo) in Electrical Engineering or Service & Maintenance;
• At least 3 years of work experience in a similar position in a maritime environment;
• Knowledge of assembly methods and execution, measurement and control techniques (instrumentation) and reading technical drawings;
• Team player, but also able to work independently;
• Good communication and organizational skills;
• Customer-oriented attitude;
• Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
