Function

Eekels | TBI is looking for (international) Service Technicians based in Kolham or Gorinchem for the Marine & Offshore business unit. Our service, refit and maintenance department carries out work on its own systems, but also on third-party systems for shipyards, shipping companies and ship owners. As an (international) service/maintenance technician, you will be part of this department. You will be responsible for service, maintenance and repair/revisions of electrical installations on board (commercial) ships and offshore installations.

What is expected of you?

  • Detecting sources of interference, performing measurements and rectifying malfunctions of various kinds;
  • Preparing project activities related to documentation, detailed planning and drawings;
  • Developing technical specifications or changes (if necessary) or discussing these with the work planner and/or project managers;
  • Providing service reports, inspection reports and delivery protocols after each visit, for the customer and for internal purposes.


Environment

The business unit Marine & Offshore supplies worldwide electrical services and systems for Marine & Offshore applications. Complete installations are custom designed and produced for installations on board ships and delivered to shipyards or shipping companies. In addition, complete installations are shipped as a ready-made construction kit to shipyards in various countries such as Romania, Vietnam, India and China. Our electrical services to the shipping and offshore industry consist of: consultancy, system engineering and design, delivery of standard and customer-specific systems, panel building, installation work, commissioning, maintenance and service.

Experience

Do you recognize yourself in this profile?

  • Completed vocational education (mbo) in Electrical Engineering/Service & Maintenance;
  • Relevant work experience in a similar position is an advantage;
  • Knowledge of assembly methods and execution, measurement and control techniques (instrumentation) and reading technical drawings;
  • Team player, but also able to work independently;
  • Enthusiastic and flexible commitment;
  • Good communication and organizational skills;
  • Customer-oriented attitude;
  • Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
